Believe The Legend. Beware The Wolf

Loosely based on the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood this dark fantasy film is set in a medieval village haunted by a werewolf. Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is the youngest daughter of a wood-chopper in the village of Daggerhorn. She is a beautiful young woman torn between two men. Peter (Shiloh Fernandez) is a the small towns woodcutter whom she is in love with, however, her parents have arranged a marriage with Henry Lazar (Max Irons) the son of a wealthy blacksmith. Unwilling to lose one another, Valerie and Peter plot to run away and shortly learn that the Wolf that prowls the dark forest has preyed on the townspeople, therefore, braking his truce not to in exchange for cattle sacrifices.

Father Solomon (Gary Oldman) is a famed werewolf hunter and has been summoned by the towns people to avenge the human blood shed by the wolf. The story takes a turn as the death tole rises and Valerie begins to suspect that the wolf could be someone close to her discovering that she in fact has a unique connection to the beast making her both suspect and bait.
